The Champaign market includes more than three million people within 90 miles, including 200,000 students of which 36,000 attend The University of Illinois. Featuring the largest capacity of any Illinois arena outside of the Chicagoland area, State Farm Center’s five adaptable set-ups, from our 3,600 seat Theatre set-up to 16,500 plus seats in-the-round, can easily accommodate any show of any size. With more than 300 years of arena industry experience by our 40 full-time staff, and an additional 400 part-time staff, State Farm Center has the experience and expertise necessary to make every event a success!
We realize touring is tough and exhaustive, and it is hard being away from home, so State Farm Center took special care to make its backstage as comfortable and accessible as possible during the recent $170 million renovation. Our behind-the-scenes facilities are now among the very best in the industry. Artists, promoters, and agents have raved about State Farm Center’s spacious and easy-access three truck loading dock, comfortable show offices complete with internet access, four-star dressing rooms, beautiful and spacious catering and dining facilities, and expanded the full-service kitchen.
Whether you are presenting the world’s hottest music arena act, an up-and-comer, an ice show, an elaborate Broadway production or anything in between, State Farm Center can accommodate any show on the road! Champaign-Urbana population signs do not accurately reflect the size of our market. State Farm Center is located within 90 miles of three million ticket-buyers and within two hours of 11 million! Home of the prestigious University of Illinois, the campus has a student population of 36,000! In our primary market we can offer a student population of almost 200,000 college students.
Trucks can be queued in the service road that runs North-South adjacent to the load-in tunnel on the East side of the arena. Buses can be located on either side of the guard house located on the North side of the building. Shore power is available at the bus parking location. The guard house entrance also is the stage door for access throughout the day.
